How did having protein in the morning impact your wakefulness? I feel I'm more focused when only having coffee.

Also, how is current your workout routine?

Mhm I can't really say I have noticed a difference but I have also only made this switch a week ago. It is also confounded by having started to be more mindful about delaying caffeine intake to 1-2 hours after waking instead of drinking it immediately in the morning (I’m also trying to have no caffeine after noon to improve sleep). I feel like delaying caffeine intake a bit in the morning is helping my afternoon wakefulness but that might be imagination.

My current workout routine is focused on running, mostly in zone 2 and a bit of VO2 max intervals. I’m planning to compete in a half-marathon in a month. On the days I am not running I do some yoga/stretching and some push-ups, but I am not going to the gym right now.

I want to get more into lifting weights again, but currently don't have access to a gym. After the half-marathon I plan to have a more balanced exercise regimen again.
